Jazz and History From the Eastern Shore: Karen Somerville accompanied with jazz pianist Joe Holt and the vocal harmonies of SomBarkin‚ will perform. Some of their music pays homage to some of Maryland‚s legendary jazz artists Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald. Ms. Somerville will also discuss her visual exhibit, "And They Sang," a photographic and oral history of early 19th and 20th Century African Americans in Kent County, Maryland.
